The Grand Victorian Inn plays host to 11 beautiful and unique Victorian guest rooms and Mammoth Railway Cafe. The Historic Train Station Inn is now the Bike and Hike Trailhead to Mammoth Cave National Park. Amenities include a full breakfast, consisting of fresh fruit, orange juice, scrambled eggs, bacon, and one of the following, waffles, pancakes, or French toast. All guest rooms are individually decorated with each having a private bath, cable TV, and wireless internet. We cannot guaranteethe room you booked but will make every effort to give you the room you desired. The wrap-around-porch with outdoor seating, in a country setting, causes you to relax and enjoy the occasional train passing by. Karin & Gary Carroll had a vision for this property in 1994, come and make memories and enjoy our dream. Full renovations were completed starting in March of 2015. We opened 8/3/15 and have been blessed with the history of the Mentz Hotel stretches back to just after the Civil War. Mr. Mentz was the train station master for Mammoth Cave Railroad Co. from 1853, taking visitors to Mammoth Cave on four passenger cars. In 1885 he and Mr. Renfro created the Mentz Hotel; unfortunately, it burned down in 1903. The current hotel was built in 1905, hosting guests until 1992, it is beautiful once again, come and stay awhile.…
